    This Graphics Shift  Supervisor position involves specialized tasks which often need to be carried out independently, with little direct supervision. Responsibilities are large in scope with accountability for directing and implementing programs that are complex in nature. All programs identified for implementation require a high level of internal and external contact, and are expected to be implemented and managed in the time frame specified.

    • Accountable for the overall quality and timeliness of the production of graphic signage.
    • Manage, delegate, and route in-coming work orders through the department, to timely completion.
    • Provide requisitioning tasks associated with the procurement of manufacturing materials and subcontracting services.
    • Maintain a pro-active position with internal customers regarding information gathering on upcoming projects.
    • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions in a professional manner to the satisfaction of clients.
    • Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies to solve problems. Make decisions in accordance with established policies regarding technical issues and approaches to projects, considering resource allocation and time schedules. Over-capacity production schedules can have substantial effect on delivery of company products and services to customers.
    • Forecasts resource needs and allocates assigned resources to assure completion of established objectives within budgetary and schedule guidelines.
    • Works with goals established by Graphics Manager to meet objectives.
    • Maintain an open communication with the Design and Graphics Design departments to conscientiously work within established production milestones.
    • Provide Project Management to assigned shows. Act as a liaison between Account Management and Graphic production. As assigned by Graphics Manager or Regional Director of Creative Services.
    • Demonstrate understanding and support of Creative Services’ objectives and strategies.


    • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
    • At least two (2) years knowledge and experience in Graphics design and production. Supervisory experience preferred.
    • Hands on Knowledge of large format printers (flatbed and roll to roll). Working knowledge of lamination, vinyl application and graphics finishing.
    • Hands on Knowledge of Adobe Suite; computer knowledge and experience in PC and Macintosh platforms, along with working knowledge of Graphic Design applications such as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • Responsible for Graphics staff (Prepress, Computer, Production, and Equipment Technicians).
    • Measure Graphics staff performance: square foot production per labor hour, mistake and spoilage ratios, etc.
    • Experience in the exhibit, tradeshow or related industry preferred
    • Schedule employee shifts and schedules to accommodate production requirements, while providing leadership to the Graphics department staff.
    • Self- starter, with the ability to work independent of supervision and skilled in leading and supervising others.



    Work Environment

    • Occasionally need to put in long hours when peak business levels dictate.
    • Flexibility with work schedule (required to change shifts and work days as business needs dictate).
    • Flexibility with work hours (must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate).
    • Ability to work under pressure and familiar working in a Shop environment.
