    Our Dispatch Supervisor - Freight handles the scheduling of teamster labor for show site and warehouse and daily scheduling of drivers in accordance with IBT local 986 CBA and DOT regulations.

    Responsibilities

    • Daily scheduling of teamster labor for show site, warehouse and drivers in accordance with local 986 CBA
    • Coordinates the preparation of labor projections (by job, by day, by task) and accumulates daily labor hours for reporting purposes and analysis
    • Supervision of daily equipment transportation for Los Angeles warehouse operations
    • Answer and process all dispatch phone calls in a timely manner & per the local 986 CBA
    • Monitor "Hours of Service" for DOT Compliance for all CDL Drivers
    • Assist in the forecast of CDL drivers and trailer requirements on a monthly basis
    • Remain current on DOT rules & regulations
    • Coordinate labor for deliveries, pick-ups and payroll requirements to other work sites
    • Assist with administrations requirements in Oracle
    • Ability to work nights and weekends are required, as well as travel to show site as needed.
    • Put together freight foreman show binders for all shows as per SOP
    • Support warehouse inbound and outbound freight as needed at the discretion of warehouse freight

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Must be flexible with schedule
    • Experience working in a Union Environment
    • 3-5 years of customer service or administative experience
    • Familiarity with convention and tradesho industry preferred
    • Must be proficient in MS suite: Outlook, Excel, Word and have the ability to learn other computer programs.  Familiarity with Oracle preferred
    • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent changes to schedules or plans and meet deadlines with little supervision
    • Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, sekf starter
    • Must be able to interact with the workforce and multiple supervisors as well as senior, professional manager

    Work Environment

    • Job will require work at Convention Centers - Los Angeles Convention Center, Anaheim Convention Center and Long Beach Convention Center and in an office and warehouse environment
    • Job requires weekend and evening work
