    Responsibilities

    The Shared Services Intern will directly support the Shared Services Accounting Group (SSAG) team with documenting business process and internal control documentation, specifically related to Sarbanes Oxley section 404 compliance.  Candidate will also support special projects throughout SSAG as needed (such as new software implementation or process improvement initiatives) and may be assigned to work within our accounting teams on a rotational basis. This will be a hands-on project where the candidate will gain experience with internal controls as they occur throughout business processes.

    Preference will be given to candidates with previous business experience and those that have completed upper division accounting coursework pertaining to internal controls.  Hours are flexible during Mon-Fri standard office hours, up to 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks.

    Qualifications

    This is a college internship program.  Candidate must be a student enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited university in accounting or another business-related course of study.  In addition:

    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Highly organized with proven multi-tasking ability required
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent problem-solving and structured thinking skills
    • Attention to detail is essential
    • Positive attitude and desire to learn new skills
    • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
    • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986

     

    Knowledge requirements: Microsoft Office product proficiency required (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook), as well as the ability to quickly learn new technology.
