    Responsibilities

    • In conjunction with the Operations Manager or Sr. Operations Manager, implements GES SOP and Best Practices relative to show site production.
    • Assist with Integrated Implementation plans for assigned show portfolio to ensure planned labor and show margins are met or exceeded.
    • Assist in ensuring proper billing practices and proper documentation of materials, labor, and rental equipment is preformed to ensure accurate invoicing, for the purpose of capturing all revenue.
    • Provide assistance of the assigned operational show team in the JUMP process for the purpose of developing Productivity Improvement Plans, Service Plans, and the clear documentation of process improvement opportunities to be reviewed in Post Show Meetings.
    • Ensure compliance with OHSA, DOT and Safety Requirements.
    • Ensure damage and loss reports are documented in adherence with company practices.
    • Assist with managing the labor and productivity tracking and reporting process.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


    •Support all Logistics activities including sales, vendor communications, re-weighs, manifesting, rating, tracking and data entry for invoicing.
    •Maintain a monthly log of the Logistics inbound/outbound sales and submit to National on a bi-monthly basis.
    1.Set up freight tables and freight information sheets.
    2.Process all warehouse freight through the automated receiving program. Creates receivers on each bill of lading (shipment) arriving for processing into the GES system. Ensure proper data for processing and certified weight ticket.
    3.Assist with the input of all data into the freight-receiving program at show site. Work the Marshaling Yard on large events when necessary.
    4.Support the Exhibitor Services staff at the Servicenter as needed before, during and after the show.
    5.Process all disposition freight in a timely manner.
    6.Process the carrier loading allowance and submit a report to National on a monthly basis.
    7.Process and maintain warehouse storage accounts and receivers.

     

    Coordinate the shipping of all Exhibitor Service files to National Servicecenter.

    1.Process National freight reports.
    2.Perform all duties with the utmost integrity avoiding any conflict of interest between GES Exposition Services and any other entities. Perform audits on all GES freight process when requested.
    3.Represent the Company, as appropriate, in a professional manner. Keep abreast of industry trends and events.
    4.Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Up to (3) years experience in an operational environment
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Must be able to work nights and weekends.
    • Must be able to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision.
    • Must be able to interface with not only labor, but also show management, convention center and hotel executive staffs.
    • 25% travel required
    • Tradeshow or event experience
    • Freight specific experience

    • Written and Oral communication skills

    • Computer skills

    Work Environment

    • Will be required to perform work on the tradeshow floor, in noisy and crowded areas as well as office setting
    • Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere
    • Requires working with union and non-union employees
