    GES Strategy is seeking outstanding Global Event Strategist candidates who are insightful, creative, and collaborative, and who have a passion for creating robust strategy and marketing programs that drive results. We are seeking innovative thinkers with experience in crafting program strategies and key performance measures and then partnering with clients and partners to execute. The Global Event Strategist will specialize in business and event strategy and overseeing digital and social media of events. In addition, the Global Event Strategist will initiate and implement innovations at GES to increase customer satisfaction and advocacy, grow revenues and reduce costs.


    The Global Event Strategist candidate will apply analytics and insights to better understand target audiences, their behaviors and interests, and improve engagement – driving the continual optimization of client performance. Leading candidates will lead, be creative, and dive in to drive results.


    The ideal Global Event Strategist candidate will work with sales teams across all GES business units and geographies to target, secure and deliver on client objectives. The Global Event Strategist candidate will be highly visible in social media, industry conferences, and thought leadership to expand the reach of the GES to drive profitable business growth and differentiation. This Global Event Strategist position includes frequent travel to meet with clients and prospects as well as partake in industry gatherings.

    • Lead client engagements to determine event program objectives, strategies and success measures. Craft strategy and marketing plans that deliver engagement, leads, pipeline, renewals, and sales.
    • Conduct business and marketing analyses and stakeholder interviews to understand client’s business, identify improvement/growth opportunities, and achieve alignment on top priority program improvement initiatives.
    • Develop effective brainstorming and collaborative relationships with creative, multi-media, social and other marketing teams to deliver compelling, meaningful and memorable audience experiences that engage and deliver on objectives.
    • Set priorities in the implementation and creation of events that support the business, program strategy/objectives, and integrated campaigns to benefit client businesses.
    • Work with team to track, measure and report event performance against agreed-upon metrics, leveraging new technologies (i.e. beacons, RFID, NFC, etc.), surveying techniques (surveys, focus groups, social chats, etc.), analyses (compiling and producing charts to highlight performance and improvement opportunities).
    • Assemble and present strategic insights through various communication media (presentations, real-time scoreboards, data visualization, etc.).
    • Screen, select and develop strong working partnerships with other agencies and client teams to deliver robust program assets including web content, marketing campaign assets and offers, emails, ads, graphics, social media posts, etc.
    • Work closely with Events, Corporate and AV sales teams to identify and prospect business and strengthen key client relationships. Ensure sales and account teams are fully aware of strategic offering and best ways to partner with GES strategy.
    • Develop and deliver breakthrough ideas and innovative event activities / tactics to attract new buyers, drive engagement, and deliver on client objectives. Keep abreast and provide regular updates on emerging behaviors, technologies and companies to keep clients on the cutting edge.
    • Create and manage [internal and external] client project to be on-budget, on-time, beyond expectation, and exceeding financial targets.
    • Communicate effectively, on a regularly scheduled cadence, to ensure client, team, and partner alignment.
    • Operate as the event strategy lead for GES Strategy where appropriate in delivering top-notch event marketing programs.
    • Participate actively in social media to promote GES Strategy, GES, and client projects/interests.
    • Submit and speak regularly at client meetings and industry conferences to reinforce GES’ leadership and cutting-edge practices.



    • 10-15 years strategy or events agency experience; at least 5 years leading client engagemnets
    • Experience working in live events
    • MBA or advanced degree preferred
    • Language skills beyond English an asset but not a requirement

    • Knowledge of event and measurement technologies such as RFID, VR, AR, beacons, etc.
    • Clear and concise communication skills – both written text and presentation of data/concepts
    • Ability to manage clients, partners, and team members effectively
    • Willingness to travel frequently for client/prospect meetings and industry gatherings
