    Position Overview:

    The Group Sales Associate (GSA) focuses on selling onPeak’s group booking services with the goal of increasing participation and revenue for assigned events. The GSA analyzes each event and sets a sales strategy to maximize retention of current groups that book with onPeak and for capturing groups that have not used our services.  

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and communicate proactive group sales strategies in conjunction with Client, Account Executive, and Marketing
    • Oversee the booking of VIP exhibitors and attendee groups
    • Positively impact event performance through scheduled and regular emails and phone outreach
    • Provide analysis and insights on outreach results to event team and clients
    • Provide group contacts with education on how to use Compass online block management tools
    • Work with client and Account Executive to develop the onsite service plan for select events
    • Travel to select events to resolve onsite group needs, facilitate group bookings for future years, and related services as necessary
    • Manage suite and meeting space requests
    • Provide post-event reporting and recommendations for improving service and capture of groups

    Qualifications

    • Strong customer service and relationship management skills, sales, travel or hotel reservations experience is helpful
    • Comfortable with interacting with all kinds of people and asking for their business
    • Able to work effectively within a team
    • Aptitude with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Ability to learn and use web-based and internal applications related to job responsibilities
    • Proactive, positive approach to problem solving
    • College Degree or 3 years of experience preferred
    • Able to travel 10-15%
