    The Operations Coordinator position for the Electrical Department will coordinate the three (3) phases of Convention Center Show Organization and Planning.  The Operations Coordinator is responsible for three phases: Pre-planning, Show-site and Post-show. In the Pre-planning phase, you will take a proactive role in communicating and confirming show-site electrical order requirements. At Show-site, you will greet exhibitors and provide "Premier" Customer Service by executing any order changes that the exhibitor may request. The Post-show responsibilities include reviewing, clarifying and distribution of final invoices. 

    • Proactively contact exhibitors to confirm Electrical Orders.
    • Follow-up with exhibitors to clarify orders.
    • Control electronically submitted orders and coordinate order execution.  
    • Compare Electrical Orders to exhibitor floor plans for accuracy. 
    • Dispatch Electrical Labor at Show-site.
    • Invoicing of Electrical Labor delivered at show-site.
    • Keep Managers and Team Members up to date on all issues.
    • Perform all duties with the utmost integrity avoiding any conflict of interest between GES and any other entities.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.


    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Demonstrate leadership ability.
    • Must be proficient in Excel and MS Office.  
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and achieve deadlines with minimal supervision.
    • Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, able to take initiative and appreciate working in a Team environment. 

    Work Environment

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
    • 80%of the work is performed at the convention center, working in adverse temperature conditions, sitting and walking at/to the various service/dispatch desks.
    • Work may involve repetitive motion (i.e. constant keying, using fingers, or grasping of objects).
    • Work for long periods of time and be able to walk great distances on show floor.
