Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a commercial, dynamic, B2B marketer to join the busy marketing department of a global player in the fast-paced live events industry.

 

This new role is designed to support marketing our leading AV business – ON Services  – but involves working closely with the broader GES team as we build on our portfolio of global products and services. The position is based at our Norcross, GA office.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate broad marketing experience and project management combining classic brand profile-raising capabilities (PR, newsletters, case studies, sponsorship, advertising) with lead generation strategies, digital skills (email, website, videos, white papers, engagement/lead capture programs) and content development.

 

The position is ideal for an experienced marketer looking for a role that offers real responsibility with the opportunity to create programs/initiatives that drive awareness and growth.

 

This position will work closely with the ON Services leadership team to deliver against the business plan to tell our brand story, generate interest in our services, plan and deliver tangible results for the business to pursue.  

 

This position will report to the Marketing Director located in Irving, TX and be supported by colleagues based in Irving, TX and Las Vegas, NV.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Marketing Director and senior team to execute a marketing plan designed to meet overall business objectives
  • Create PR and advertising campaigns to build profile with target customer groups and develop relationship with industry media and influencers
  • Create marketing collateral (flyers/presentations/advertising) for key customer groups/personas
  • Deliver monthly newsletter
  • Arrange photo/video shoots to support case studies, testimonials
  • Identify and review sponsorship/networking opportunities
  • Work with our web content and social media teams to ensure our copy, tweets, tools and assets drive traffic and leads
  • Plan and execute ON Services presence at customer facing industry events
  • Track and test rigorously all activity and report results monthly
  • Work closely with our designer on creating sales collateral and marketing campaigns
  • Ensure all marketing adheres to the GES global brand guidelines and meets our high standards of execution

Qualifications

  • Use of CRM systems (e.g Salesforce) and Marketing Automation (preferred Marketo)
  • Marketing Degree
  • Preferably 5+ years of marketing experience
  • Analytical aptitude with ability to articulate actionable direction from insights
  • Strong project and time management skills, ability to manage independently
  • Proficient in writing copy/content for internal and external marketing initiatives
  • Solutions-oriented thinker, sharp attention to detail
  • Knowledge of trade show and events industry helpful

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, Powerpoint and Word.

  • Good communication skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and handle multiple projects/demands
  • Team player, driven to succeed, improve and learn.

Work Environment

  • Required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships both internally and externally, in order to facilitate growth and integration across the business.
  • Travel 15% of the time to attend marketing departmental meetings and support the AV business at industry events and customer functions.
