Overview

The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing analysis that assist leaders in making strategic and operational data-based decisions by delivering timely, accurate and relevant financial information. This position is responsible for supporting and leading as needed, periodic analysis of results related to the company's operations and ad hoc operational and financial analysis.  The Financial Analyst will assist with the periodic forecasting & annual planning process. Special projects are an integral part of this position and will be assigned as needed. 

Responsibilities

To be a part of the GES/ON Services field finance team by supporting and partnering with the AV Field Offices thru analysis and forecasting.

  • Prepare monthly reporting package for Field Offices of On Services
  • Prepare and present financial variance analysis
  • Assist with the Plan and Forecast financial budgeting activities
  • Perform monthly job cost and margin/profitability analysis
  • Review monthly operating results; understand and explain monthly activity and variances
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze results and determine areas of improvement and causal effects

  • Strong knowledge of financial information systems and demonstrated ability to manage projects/resources 

  • Strong financial and operational analysis skills

  • Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Intellectual and change leadership skills

  • Strong business acumen/general management

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skill

  • Performs other duties as assigned and deemed necessary of the position by VP Finance.

Qualifications

  • BS in Finance or related.
  • 3-5 Years of work experience in accounting or finance department
  • Powerpoint skills and experience in creating presentations with charts/graphs and other financial analysis.
  • Microsoft Office suite experience
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills.
  • Financial modeling, variance analysis, trend analysis, budgeting & forecasting experience.
  • General accounting experience (i.e. account reconciliations, accruals, month-end close, financial statements, etc.) very helpful
  • Strong MS Excel experience

Work Environment

Primarily Office, but can also include Hotel Partner facilities and venues and convention centers
