This key role will under the direction of the manager, coordinate and manage all aspects of the warehouse decorating and freight departments. The Operations Representative will oversee all San Francisco GEM projects in addition be responsible for ordering all supplies for the San Francisco GEM projects and supervise warehouse dock operation and maintain proper pounds per man-hour.



  • Supervise show site freight and decorating labor force and manager labor costs and budget.
  • Assist the senior operations manager in assigning foreman and labor (including drivers) to cover all required shows.
  • Maintain open line of communication with all departments to meet show requirements.
  • Provide leadership and knowledge during JUMP process to ensure productivity procedures and all requirements are successfully met.
  • Maintain communication on all material issues such as status of hours.
  • Ensure proper billing practices and proper documentation are performed in regards to materials, labor, and rental equipment is preformed to ensure accurate invoicing, for the purpose of capturing all revenue.
  • Implement and promote all GES SOP’s and best practices.
  • Supervise show site dock operation and maintain proper pounds per man-hour reports.
  • Ensure accurate timecard information and provide required signature, submission of timecards to payroll daily from show site.
  • Ensure compliance with OHSA, DOT and Safety Requirements in addition to enforcing and following all GES policies and procedures including Safety.
  • Manifest all usage trailers loaded and unloaded at the warehouse dock.

  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Senior Operations Manager


  • Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in a warehouse work environment.
  • Willing and able to get a CDL license and become forklift certified.
  • Knowledge of convention industry preferred.
  • Must have basic computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and self-starter, detail oriented with an understanding of team and productivity goals.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and travel when necessary.
  • Will be required to perform work on the tradeshow floor, in noisy and crowded areas as well as office setting.
  • Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Requires working with union and non-union employees.
